So you can't face walking into a funeral home, you don't feel like talking to a funeral director, but you have to attend to the final details.  Cremations Direct offer a Cremation only service, forms can be completed online (or a representative will attend your home), with delivery of ashes to your door.  Total cost $1600 (extra $375  for night or weekend transfer of deceased) For more details click here:  CREMATIONS DIRECT

If you would like me to arrange a private Scattering of Ashes to sea, I am happy to do so.  You will be sent GPS location as to where in the ocean or river your loved ones ashes have been scattered.  The deceased's details and location of scattered ashes will also be listed on the World Register for Scattered Ashes, for future generations to locate, should they wish.  This Register can be found at Scattered Ashes. Consult with me for details and a quote.  Every situation is different, so one fixed price is not available for the scattering at sea service.

BEFORE A DEATH OCCURS:  I encourage those facing making their own end of life choices, pre arrange their own funeral or memorial, or just chat about what is and isn't possible, to contact me, either themselves, or through a family member, to discuss your funeral requests, and to answer any funeral industry related questions you might have.  Often having my presence in your home will open the door to discussing your death with loved ones, enabling acceptance, comprehension and openness.  You might like to arrange a 'Living Funeral', and share your life story yourself with family and friends.  I consider myself a competent and experienced 'Eulogist', and can assist with writing your life story.

Have you heard of the Queensland Palliative Care initiative 'Dying To Talk'?  They advertise on local radio.  I know it is not easy to start the conversation with family, but with my presence in your home, this very important discussion can take place.

AFTER A DEATH OCCURS: Once a loved one has died, you might like to discuss the options available on the Sunshine Coast. Either before choosing a funeral director for some guidance to who might best suit your family, or after seeing your chosen funeral director and wishing to discuss the role of a funeral celebrant.

Did you know if there is no money in the family to pay for a funeral, you can apply for Government assistance?  See Magistrates Court Application for Funeral Assistance.

'Nan' was honoured with a few favourite items on display, a personally decorated Ashes tube, a memorial service in her garden, and the ashes scattered around the roots of her favourite tree.  Her favourite music was played, and her favourite food & wine provided for all the family and friends who gathered to say goodbye.  Plenty of tears, plenty of laughter, and lots of love shared.  Her memory was honoured, her family felt very proud of her and all felt she would have been very delighted by her farewell party.

Ask me about these beautiful shell urns for ashes, which float for 5 minutes prior to descending below the water... I am happy to organise a paddle out and beach memorial service for you.

I am experienced in chapel and graveside services, working alongside the RSL who offer tributes to our service men, women and wives of soldiers. I also have many ideas and options for other special tributes, together with a huge variety of appropriate songs and verses to offer.
